Program areas at SFEG

Habitat restoration: 39,021 native trees and shrubs were planted to restore over 90 acres of riparian habitat along local streams. 128 acres of native plant care and invasive plant removal was completed to maintain riparian habitat projects. 4,651 acres of floodplain were surveyed for knotweed along 34 miles of the Skagit and sauk rivers. 3.05 miles of stream was opened to salmon by removing fish passage barriers. 4,450 community members were reached through community engagement programs. 7,861 hours were donated by community volunteers. 1,359 students were engaged in environmental science education programs.
