Cooking Program: Work with ID and DD adults to learn how to safely work in a kitchen environment to prepare nutritious and healthy meals. We teach food nutrition, healthy eating, food and kitchen safety, food prep, portion control and appropriate eating skills and table manners. We stress and practice basic kitchen and food skills and safety. We work once a week with 12 to 15 clients in a three hour class. The main expense is the weekly food, which is often donated by the staff.
