Sky Mountain Wild Horse Santuary

Accomplishment 1:Develop herd-specific plans to sustain wild horses, other wildlife, and land health; fund and implement herd planning goals and activities including mapping herds on the range, reducing reproduction by treating wild horses with immunocontraception, and relocating threatened wild horses; and support research on the efficacy of herd planning by developing, monitoring and research projects with University-based researchers to evaluate results and adapt future planning and activities.

Accomplishment 3:The Sanctuary supports research to improve humane, science-based, cost-effective herd planning by conducting continuous field research and studies.

Accomplishment 2: The Sanctuary restores freedom for vulnerable wild horses that have been removed from the range so they roam free throughout their lives. This includes managing health and freedom of wild horses and wildlife by conducting regular inspections by the sanctuary veterinarirans and state licensing agencies. The Sanctuary also monitors the land health by maintaining its infrastructure, adapt operations as needed to sustain the health and freedom of mustangs.
