Program areas at Slater Band Boosters of the Bangor Area Schools
The Band Boosters helped raised 16394 dollars to help fund a student trip Disney World in April 2022 where the students performed for adjudication. Parents also paid deposits totaling 108890 for the trip. 39798 of student fundraising money was transferred from the Bangor School to the Booster accounts. Students fundraised 29243 for their trip. Due to a new school district policy all money for this thrip had to be managed through the Booster bank accounts.
A new generator was purchased for the band to provide electric for the percussion section of the marching band. A new marching band podium was purchased to replace an old one. Two new garment racks and a speaker were also purchased for the marching band to use.
4 Scholarships were awarded to graduating seniors at 500 each The two Drum Majors for Marching Band were sent to Leadership Camp at a cost of 1090 Stipends were paid to 2 college students two serve in leadership instruction at Band Camp 600. A Band Banquet was provided for the students at the end of the school year 3635
Food was provided to Band students during band camp and competitions. Copyright was paid for on Marching Band show music. Start Up money was neede for change at events.
