Social Inquiry

Research: conducted in-depth qualitative and quantitative Social science research on four main thematic topics in iraq, sudan, and most recently syria (northeast) linked to conflict, internal displacement crises, and environmental degradation in these countries. These topics include: Social cohesion and fragility, transitional justice and reconciliation, post-conflict political economy, and climate and environment. This research serves to advise policy and programmatic interventions within humanitarian, recovery, and peacebuilding sectors. Key stakeholders of this research include un agencies, international donor governments, national authorities, and international and national civil society organizations. This year, Social Inquiry, Inc. Engaged in 4 large-scale studies, finished implementing 1 project from the previous year, drafted and submitted an academic article for publication, and presented findings and policy recommendations in international forums, workshops, and working groups.
