Program areas at Social Purpose Corrections

1.Created the position Director of Innovation and Social Impact and hired Adam Clausen in the position. Adam served a 20 year sentence in the Federal Bureau of Prisons and created numerous programs while incarcerated that were adopted by several prisons. He will bring that knowledge and lived experience to help Social Purpose Corrections bring truly innovative residential opportunities.2.Created a division called Social Purpose Health Access, dedicated to consulting with correctional agencies to ensure that eligible individuals are enrolled in high quality healthcare insurance upon release from incarceration. We introduced this innovative program to over 25 prison and jail systems. 3.Created a division called Social Purpose Correctional Wellness to compete against for-profit corrections outsourced healthcare providers in jails and prisons. We would be the only non-profit provider of outsourced healthcare services in US jails and prisons.4.Received a $1MM grant award for the Arnold Ventures Foundation to support our worked. This grant will be in the form of 2 $500,000 payments, one received in 2023 and the next in 2024.5.Engaged a grant consulting firm and submitted 12 grant requests in 2023.6.Engaged a fundraising consulting firm and initiated the engagement to introduce SPC to over 40 high net worth individuals and foundations. 7.Engaged a lobbyist in the State of Arizona and presented our correctional program to several state legislators and other officials. Assisted in the development of several pieces of legislation that were brought before the Arizona general assembly.8.Created our capacity to respond to government solicitations for correctional procurement activities. The State of Wyoming issued a Request for Proposal to manage all healthcare operations in their prison system and Social Purpose Corrections made the only response from a non-profit candidate. 9.Created our social media campaign and produced a new website.10.Completed development of Social Purpose Corrections innovative programs for incarcerated residents with combined expertise from career-long correctional professionals as well as formerly incarcerated people. These programs include broadly innovative approaches to resident/resident and resident/staff relations through our Coach Approach program and well as skill development and documentation programs to improve post-release employability.
