Societe Culinaire Philanthropique de New York

Provide benefits to members or their dependents to assist them in case of sickness, distress, unemployment, retirement, death or other need, in accordance with an established system for payment of benefits. During the year ended june 30, 2023, the organization made quarterly retirement payments to approximately 164 members. 9 payments of sickness benefits were paid to members and the Societe paid death benefits to the beneficiaries of 4 deceased members.

To promote the practice of the french culinary arts and the use of the french language in the culinary profession. The Societe provided scholarship funding for the students of six culinary schools. The Societe supported the programs of two french speaking organizations promoting the french language and culture, including supporting the efforts of the french consulate and french cultural centers.

Conduct activities and events to cultivate the social and fraternal feeling among members. The Societe's chapters each held an annual meeting along with events and activities for members in their geographic area. The newsletters published during the year informed members of the Societe activities as well as provided information related to the culinary field.

Provide support to related organizations. Due to covid-19, the Societe's annual fundraising picnic, which was to be held september 2022 on the grounds of the home in New paltz, New York, was cancelled. A picnic is hoping to be on scheduled for september 10, 2023.
