Spring conference: shea spring conference provides attendees training and education to ensure that hospital epidemiologists, infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship teams create and manage infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship practices based on the latest scientific evidence-based practices. This conference is designed for physicians, infection preventionists, pharmacists, microbiologists, infectious disease specialists, Healthcare epidemiologists and other Healthcare professionals passionate about infection prevention andantibiotic stewardship.
Journals: through a publishing contract with the cambridge university press, shea publishes two scientific journals, infection control and hospital Epidemiology (iche) and antimicrobial stewardship and Healthcare Epidemiology (ashe). Iche and ashe both publish scientifically authoritative, clinically applicable, peer-reviewed research on prevention of Healthcare associated infections and antimicrobial stewardship to evaluate and improve the delivery of patient care. Major topics covered include infection control practices, surveillance, antimicrobial stewardship, cost-benefit analyses, resource use, occupational health, and regulatory issues. Ashe is a gold open access journal, and iche is a hybrid open access journal.
Membership shea membership provides timely information and resources to members as it relates to infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship on public policy and regulation updates, practice guidelines, and research. Members receive access to online education, podcasts and a subscription to shea's scientific journals.
