Program areas at SPI

The planning, organization, facilitation and execution of Association events, conferences, trade shows and Industry convenings to benefit the overall mission of Plastics. To promote and grow the Plastics Industry, Plastics offers educational and informative professional opportunities and selective convening locales for Industry executives and teams. Association events also serve as regularly scheduled forums for executive board members, leadership, Plastics' governing bodies, and committees to execute the policy agreements, budget priority reviews and organizational performance plans for the Association.
Execution of advocacy efforts on behalf of the Plastics Industry, representing one million workers in the united states, to advance policies in support of recycling and sustainability initiatives, a more globally competitive economy, and effective, fair regulations, standards and policies. The promotion of expansive programming in policy, regulatory and legislative arenas to enhance the public awareness of Industry science and investments surrounding recycling, sustainability, circularity. Message amplification and education of the facts and research available to enhance and inform those involved in the legislative process as to the advantages, safety, energy capabilities and emission reduction and environmental preference that occurs through the use of Plastics.
Engagement, management, and enhancement for current Association membership, including initiatives that connect the Plastics value chain and drive growth and business development opportunities for companies and management. Recruitment of new membership through outreach and interaction with current Plastics membership, engagement throughout Industry events and member facilities, active participation in thought leadership and Industry institutions and creation of collaborative programming.
