Program areas at Sonoma Valley Authors Festival

The Sonoma Valley Authors Festival (SVAF) has five parts: The Festival, Students Day, Authors on the Plaza, The Virtual Festival (SVAF 360,) and Special Events. Our mission is to focus on two things while implementing all parts of the Festival: stimulating the minds and nurturing the souls of readers and enriching students and featuring possibilities for future careers through exposure to authors and thought leaders in science, technology, and medicine.By the end of 2023, the Sonoma Valley Authors Festival had hosted over 150 world-class authors and speakers to present to over 2,000 live audience members. More than 9,700 students had been exposed to over 50 of those presenters and received over 15,000 free books written by them. Over 3,000 community members participated in the free Authors on the Plaza event and received more than 2,5000 free books. SVAF 360 had reached more than 6,500 persons worldwide, and over 17,000 presentations had been viewed online by them.
