Program areas at South County PTSO
Senior class recognition/All Night Grad Party--for graduating seniors at South County (approx 570)--provide recognition for seniors whose year was cut short due to COVID-19
Club and honor societies funding and career center support--for all students and staff of South County (approx 2,000)--provide funding for student club activities to included registration fees for competitions and conferences such as "Boys State","DECA" or "Girls State", funding for competition uniforms if needed, and other related expenses.
Classroom Support-- Funding for purchasing technology, books and other reading material for use in the classroom (approx 2000 students).
School Unity project - to support school-wide spiritwear project
College Scholarships for Graduating Seniors-- $500 per awardee, payable directly to the student for academic expenses. Selected anonymously based on merit by a committee of 5 diverse members with academic ties.
Academic Awards--for all students of South County (approx 1,800)--provide ceremonies and awards (such as certificates or academic letters) for students who achieve honor roll status and support membership in various honor societies.
Other--various other programs, such as Hospitality, Science Fair, Black History Month, (Approx. 500 students)
Website, hosting, software, etc costs.
