Sdaho hosts an annual convention every year in september. In 2023, more than 450 individuals came together in sioux falls to attend sdaho's 97th annual convention. The 2023 event had many important components, including a pre-conference golf event, amazing keynote speakers, several educational sessions, 59 diverse sponsors and exhibitors, and the celebration of colleagues for outstanding service and excellence.
Sdaho hosts a rural health leaders conference every year in pierre, SD. This conference is intended for leaders of rural Healthcare who are involved in strategic planning, operations, and leading teams. The conference sessions cover both federal and state-specific topics that are relevant to Healthcare within south dakota. This intimate event facilitates in-depth discussions, idea sharing, and ample networking opportunities with colleagues from across the state.
Sdaho launched a nurse leadership program in 2020, and it is still going strong in 2023. The nurse leadership program is a customized education program designed to equip hospital and post-acute care nurse leaders and emerging nurse leaders with leadership and operational skills they need to be a successful, supportive leader in their organization. Professionals who attend this program will build skills and confidence in leadership, critical thinking, conflict management, effective team building, and change management. The program will include lecture, discussion, reflection, independent project study, networking, and opportunities to interact with nurse leaders and other resource experts.
Each year, sdaho hosts a partners in care, post-acute care conference. This year, the conference was held in mitchell, SD and included a pre-conference emergency preparedness roundtable and a nursing facility art contest. This year's conference included 26 unique break-out sessions, 18 vendors, and record attendance.
