South University is recognized as a 501(c)(3) entity by the internal revenue service, department of the treasury. South University is accredited by the southern association of colleges and schools commission on colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters and doctorate degrees. With 11 locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, north carolina,south carolina, Texas, and virginia,south University's approach to higher education, and the resulting varied academic experiences, provides students with the pragmatic approach necessary to create the foundation for personal and professional fulfillment. The University provides a learning environment, both on-campus and online, that helps students identify goals and the means to achieve them. With this philosophy in mind, students can learn by interacting with a community of faculty, staff and administration dedicated to South University's academic purpose. South University offers academic programs across its 11 campuses and through online programs. The University's academics are organized across five colleges: arts and sciences, business, health professions, nursing and public health, theology - and a school of pharmacy.in fall 2023, a total of 12,577 students enrolled at South universitycampuses and online with 82% who attend fully online. More than 28% ofstudents are enrolled in graduate programs. 68% of studentsare from diverse populations - and 78% of students are female.
