Program areas at Southeast Christian School
Preschool-8th School: Continued work on developing the Strategic Plan in collaboration with the SCS Board, Parent Advisory Council (PAC), and School Advisory and Leadership Team (SALT); maintained excellent student STAR testing results in-spite of COVID-19 and distance learning; developed a distance learning program supporting synchronous, hybrid learning; achieved school-wide fundraising of $160,570, continued a forum-style, "Listening Out" event for parents and community members, completed "Listening In" forums with SCS Board, PAC, and SALT; received $286,500 to the Preschool via the Colorado Child Care contribution Credit donations; held special all-school Chapel to honor and connect with Ministry partners; put on a Celebration of Learning event; refined implementation of new Preschool curriculum, Learning Without Tears. Applied for, and obtained, Colorado Department of Education approved Induction program; established a mentor program for new teaching staff.
Parent Community Organization: Hosted the following events for students, families, and staff: Back-to-school picnic, teacher appreciation events, teacher gift cards for academic use in classrooms, stocked the staff lounge with snacks and drinks, Spirit Nights, Room Mom gifts, used clothing sales, teacher meals during conferences, SCRIP gift cards sales, continued to grow the parent Facebook community group. Hosted end-of-year school picnic.
