Southeast Seattle Senior Center redirects its services in 2022 to focus on meal preparation and delivery for home bound seniors during the pandemic. Our social worker conducts in-person meetings and home visits with clients while holding momenti. Our center offers a variety of services, activities, and support to promote self-sufficient and fulfilling lives for aging adults in our multi-cultural community such as food and nutrition programs, health promotion, wellness and fitness, education, R&D.

Program areas at Southeast Seattle Senior Center

In 2022, the Center continued to re-direct its services to focus on meal preparation and delivery service to home bound seniors due to covid-19. Our social worker had in person meetings and home visits with her clients during the pandemic. She held momentia classes via zoom as well as caregiver support. Our health promotion programming included an assortment of zoom classes for homebound seniors; wellness and fitness, tai chi, and book club. Outdoor exercise classes were held as well. The Center continued education classes in collaboration with aarp.
