Program areas at Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Program
Se Uplift helped build informed, inclusive and participatory neighborhoods through programs that build the capacity of small local nonprofits to support the community. Se Uplift educated and engaged its district community about changes coming to the city of portland's new government structure, and provided trainings on a range of nonprofit best practices including finances, outreach, equity, and board member roles and responsibilities. We provided technical support and resources to facilitate community engagement efforts. Through our community committees we educated and connect people to city bureaus and promoted an understanding of topics involving land use and transportation, climate, houselessness, and other civic matters that impact people's lives. (continued on schedule o)our fiscal sponsorship Program provided expert guidance and technical support to help scale up approximately 35 groups, and our community small grants Program provided resources to nearly 20 grassroots organizations to conduct small community-building projects in neighborhoods throughout Southeast portland.
