Camp Seale Harris is a comprehensive Diabetes support program that served 2322 people in 2023, including 740 children with Diabetes ages 0-18 in 21 different Camp programs or community event sites located in Alabama and north Florida. Program sessions included: 7 residential camps, 5 day camps, and 13 community events teaching children and families to live well with Diabetes. Participants received Diabetes self-care training, medical oversite, medications, networking and emotional support. Outcomes included participants improved independence in Diabetes care, knowledge, and psychosocial well-being including: dosing insulin, technology, nutrition, activity, and maintaining target glucose levels.
