Program areas at Whole Person Care Clinic
Medical Care - Provided high-quality, community-based, client-centered, free healthcare using volunteer healthcare professionals, faculty, students, and community members for 1944 working poor and under/uninsured Southern California residents via 4651 patient encounters. Specific services include medical care, case management & screening, and hygiene support.
Student Education - Provided a hands-on learning environment for 71 graduate and undergraduate nursing students who worked with healthcare professionals and focused on underserved clients' unique needs. This involved clinical placement and orientation for Registered Nurse (RN) students who require practical application for their degree completion. Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) interns were also provided clinical opportunities. All students and interns operate under medical provider supervision. This year we provided 7865 hours of student orientation and clinical work.
