During 2022 SCORA operated 9 sanctioned outrigger racing events throughout California. On average 28 local teams and/or international teams participated in each event. Through these events over 4,000 paddlers, volunteers, and community members would have been exposed to the challenges and enjoyment of outrigger racing competition. SCORA also hosted a coaching clinic to ensure participant teams are up-to-date on safety and risk management education.
