Southington Community Cultural Arts strives to create a unique environment where people of all ages, abilities, and experiences can freely imagine, create, exhibit, and welcome the arts into their lives. The Art Center provides a professional setting for artistic expression. The all-access program partnered with the arc of Southington to teach creative job skills to those with disabilities through silk screen printing.

Program areas at Southington Community Cultural Arts

The art center officially opened in 2016. The center offers workshops, art classes, gallery events, rents space to local artists, and has a retail store.
The all access program teaches creative job skills to those with disabilities. A partnership was formed with the arc of Southington, an organization that serves the needs of those with disabilities and their families and participants were taught silk screening, painting, drawing, weaving, beading, jewelry making, paper making and collage. Training for best studio practices and classroom protocol for workshop teachedrs is also taught. The group gathers weekly to learn creative skills in the work place.
