1. Staffing increased staff to six (6). 2. Training and technical assistance provided technical assistance throughout the year on various topics to tribal domestic and sexual violence programs. Provided webinars throughout the year on topics relating to domestic and sexual violence and included the intersections of covid, mmiwr, substance use, and housing to name a few. Provided a national gathering for mmiwr families. Provided several training events that included topics relating to domestic and sexual violence and mens wellness and the connection of youth & elders. Conducted a virtual 40-hour native advocacy training. Collaborated in arizonas state Coalition 40 hour training. Provided a healing retreat for arizonas domestic & sexual violence tribal advocates 3. Tribal engagement provided virtual briefing packets to tribal leaders on violence against women for tribal consultation attended office on violence against tribal consultation in tulsa regularly sent blast e-mails to swiwc membership and others regarding covid-19, dv/sa news, upcoming events, meetings, and other pertinent information distributed swiwconnections newsletter to membership delivered survivor and advocate covid prevention and safety bags to tribal programs convened swiwc membership meeting 4. Systems advocacy provided bi-weekly zoom tribal advocate talking sessions attended and convened pertinent meetings with agencies addressing systemic barriers to ending violence against women, girls, men, boys, and the lgbtq+/two-spirit community such as the arizonas state agencies coordination team, national congress of american indians violence against womens task force, inter tribal council of arizonas social services leadership group, operation lady justice, to name a few. Attended the not invisible act commission meetings attended arc of Arizona tribal working group the governor office on youth and families work group 5. Outreach/education conducted virtual domestic violence awareness month resource zoom sessions throughout october conducted virtual sexual assault awareness month resource zoom sessions throughout april participated in numerous community outreach events including on the fort mcdowell nation, the city of mesa, on the navajo nation, and on the fort mojave nation. 6. State/tribal/national initiatives participated in the national congress of american indians violence against women virtual task force meetings participated in development of nnedvs tribal toolkit for fvpsa grantees participated in the inter-tribal council of arizonas social services work group participated in the inter-tribal working group meetings participated in the mmiw event at the state capitol. 7. National conferences (staff development) Minnesota indian womens sexual assault coalitions strengthening sovereign responses to sex trafficking in indian country & Alaska conference women are sacred conference attended indian child welfare act conference national sexual assault conference phoenix area indian health behavioral health conference 8. Tribal Coalition institutes/check ins/mandatory events attended tribal Coalition zoom check-in sessions attended fy 22 ovw virtual new grantee orientation (virtual) 9. Governing board meetings conducted virtual special, regular, and annual board meetings. 10. Swiwcs native lgbtq+ advisory council convened advisory council meetings throughout the year facilitated by jsi, inc. 11.
