Economic justice promotes economic self-sufficiency of women in new mexico, including victims of domestic and sexual violence, by researching and increasing access to public benefits programs through administrative/regulatory advocacy, and by researching and conducting trainings on housing and employment issues impacting victims of domestic and sexual violence in new mexico, monitoring enforcement of federal and state legal protections in employment and housing programs for victims of domestic and sexual violence, and by advocating for increased confidentiality for domestic violence victims in state funded service programs.
Health care reform and reproductive rights - includes work to increase Women's access to comprehensive health care coverage and quality health care and to end unintended pregnancies and promote public health in the state of new mexico by ensuring effective implementation of federal health care reform, increasing patients' ability to control their own health care decisions, and by increasing access to family planning information services, including contraceptives, through community education, coalition work and administrative advocacy within state and local public health and educational entities.
