Special Olympics Vermont contributes to the physical, social, and psychological development of individuals with intellectual disabilities primarily through athletic training and competitions. We provide a broad variety of programming to support holistic growth. To accomplish our mission, we contribute to the physical, social, and psychological development of children and adults with intellectual disabilities through successful experiences in community engagement, personal wellness, and sport.

Special Olympics Vermont (sovt) is part of a global movement that works year-round to foster inclusion and acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities by using the power of sport to showcase their gifts and abilities. Sovt contributes to the physical, social and psychological development of people with intellectual disabilities. Through successful experiences in sports, sovt athletes gain confidence and build positive self-images, which follow them into their homes, classrooms, jobs, and communities. Sovt coordinates the activities of over 1,000 volunteers working in schools and communities throughout Vermont to help raise funds and fulfill its mission.
