Program areas at Sports Catalyst

Sports Leadership Training and Partnership Development - Our purpose is to catalyze and maintain sport movements in cities around the world. We do this by training coaches and building leadership capacity that will impact the community around them through team sports. We also help local coaches, club owners, or presidents of federations to bring new sports into their countries. In 2023, a month- long Sport Leadership School was held in 62 countries, which includes intense training and practicum, a total of 1,295 new leaders were trained and 371 facilitators helped lead these schools. Woman in Sport programing was developed to reach professional and non-professional women athletes in every area of sport. 2 trainings were held for this strategy. 9,000+ people were trained on how to positively impact their community using sports and whole life coaching methods.
Youth, Children, and Community Initiatives - We create, support and hold sport festivals, camps, and other youth initiatives that connect the community together in a positive way. 250 people trained in the All Ability programs in 8 countries. All ability leaders participated in 6 significant sport events for individuals with disabilities. 80 leaders from 5 countries were trained in e-game programs that impact more than 3,000 people.
Ukraine Relief Work - Using the existing sport network and partnership that began in 2002, we provide assistance to communities affected by the ongoing conflict and displacement caused by the war. Through various programs and initiatives, we strive to bring hope and healing to those impacted by this crisis. In 2023, 16,737 kids and teens were reached through 164 trauma healing sport camps. 48 homes were repaired by 6 teams/35 volunteers in 9 different villages impacting 120 people. 36,680 families were helped using 392 tons of food and supplies.
