Program areas at Sports Leadership and Management
Sports Leadership and Management charter high school (slam) completed the year serving 883 students in grades nine through twelve. Slam charter middle school completed its tenth year of operations, serving 888 students in grades six through eight. Slam middle school palm beach completed its seventh year of operations; serving 349 students in grades six through eight. Slam middle school north campus completed its sixth year of operation serving 257 students in grades sixth through eight in the city of north miami beach . Slam high school palm beach completed the year serving 318 students in grades nine through twelve. Slam academy high school north campus completed the year serving 235 students in grades nine through twelve. The schools benefit from partnerships with slam radio on sirius/xm, the first and only student-managed satellite radio station in the nation. Through slam radio, students explore careers in journalism and broadcast and learn industry "on the job" skills. Slam also provides students with unique access to career mentors and internships through educational partnerships with local and national Sports franchises such as major league baseball (mlb), the nba, the miami marlins, the miami heat and others. As part of the mater academy network of high quality charter schools, slam is accredited by advanced under the southern association of colleges and schools council on accreditation and school improvement (sacs-casi) division.
