Program areas at Spring Initiative
Daily comprehensive youth programs serving students in different age groups year round.. programs run monday-friday, 4pm-7pm, but include significant programming during weekends and breaks, including college visits and educational trips throughout the year. Program focuses include individualized academic instruction and tutoring (remedial and enriching), college prep, mentoring, therapy, internships, exercise, healthy nutrition, and enrichment activities to engage each student's emotional, social, mental, cognitive and physical needs.
Baby university, which is a nine week intensive parenting program for expecting parents and families with children under the age of three. Each course is structured around a mixture of instruction and guided play time to help parents build skills that will foster optimal physical, emotional, and cognitive development in their babies and toddlers. Classes also provide opportunities for peer support, introspection and experiential learning.
