Program areas at Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council

Jacksonville PorchFest - Jacksonville PorchFest is a free, community music festival. The event features live music played on the front porches of Springfield homes, an arts vendor market, food trucks, and other family-friendly activities.
On-going Community Events - On Going Community Events include a variety of events and programs that are free and open to the community. Events and programming include bike socials, concerts in the park, and historic preservation workshops.
Home Tour - The Historic Springfield Tour of Homes and Gardens offers visitors a chance to peek behind the porches and explore the interiors and gardens of several properties located in Historic Springfield.
A combination of other events and initiatives throughout the year support our efforts to assist residents and property owners with the Certificate of Appropriateness process described by the City of Jacksonville. These events and initiatives also help meet the requirements of a National Historic District, maintenance of Historic Archives, Historic Property Stabilization, Parks and Historic Monuments, Commercial Revitalization and maintenance of our Historic Tree Canopy.
