HSHS HOME CARE services to 37 counties throughout southern and central Illinois. We are a comprehensive home care agency that includes registered nurses, certified nursing students, licensed social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech language therapists. We are open 7 days a week with nurses on call throughout the night to assist with patients' needs. We provide services from birth to death. Specialty services include but not limited to advanced wound care, cardiac rehab, fall risk assessment, pain management, pediatric care and stroke care. In FY 23 Home care completed 102,885 visits and 5,731 admits. Home care provides care/education to the patients on service. Skilled nurses evaluate, monitor and teach patients about their medical conditions and assist with administering IV medications, tube feedings, wound care. Home health aides provide assistance with personal care and light housework within the homes. Physical therapists provide home exercise programs to patients to assist with reducing pain and restore mobility, strength and balance. Occupational therapists assist patients with overcoming or learning to live with disabilities by teaching them special techniques or the use of special equipment. Speech therapists evaluate and develop a treatment plan to improve speech, language and swallowing. Social workers provide counseling and referrals to the community agencies for caregivers, financial assistance and transportation. HSHS Hospice is a comprehensive program that focuses on quality of life and provides services to 37 counties throughout southern and central Illinois. Hospice provides support and care for individuals and their loved ones as they face the last phases of life - limiting illness. The goal of our hospice team is to make patients physically, emotionally and spiritually comfortable so they remain at home as long as possible with minimal disruption to normal activities. The hospice team can help with and offer nursing care, advanced nurse practitioners, medical equipment, home health aide services, medication symptom control and pain relief, short term hospital care as needed, spiritual needs and grief counseling 13 months after the date of death. In FY 23 hospice provided 40,258 visits and 1035 admits
HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital Emergency Department HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital Emergency Department is a comprehensive treatment center. It is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by specially trained physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and technicians all of whom provide quality patient care for a wide range of concerns. We have access to a wide range of specialists either in-house or through advanced telemedicine to help diagnose and provide treatment for those requiring a higher level of care. With leading edge technology at our fingertips, we can process x-rays, CT scans and other diagnostic tests accurately and quickly, allowing faster diagnosis and treatment in a wide range of other areas. During FY23 the emergency department seen 24,055 patients of those 16% were admitted or placed in observation and 6% were transferred to a higher level of care.

Surgeons from a variety of physician groups perform procedures at our facility, from a multitude of specialties including Plastics, General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Gynecological, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Interventional Pain Management Services.
