Program areas at Stand for Animals Veterinary Clinic

2023 was a year of significant growth and change for Stand for Animals. Halfway through the year the clinics medical director who had been with the practice since 2012 stepped down, putting additional pressure on the executive administrative leadership to manage all clinic operations. While at times challenging this ultimately ended up as a net positive as it became evident that this team was more fully capable of providing the stability, support, and leadership that the operation now requires. This was especially true in the area of personnel management. A commitment to increasing compensation for medical and administrative staff has resulted in significantly higher levels of staff retention (more than 1/3 of the staff has been with the practice for over 2 years). The Medical Assistance Fund continues to make it possible for clients with limited financial resources to provide care and treatment for their beloved pet.
