Standing Bear Native American Foundation

By hosting various events at the site of the Standing Bear memorial statue and giving tours and presenting the history, there is an increase in the recognition of the Native American contribution to our culture. An estimated 4000 people tour the grounds and museum each year to absorb the history of Standing Bear and the various tribes. An estimated 7000 people attended this year's pow wow which dispays the rich heritage of these tribes. Many programs are presented throughout the year to various schools and community groups to increase awareness as well.
