Program areas at Stewpot Community Services

The following facilities are operated daily or weekly: kitchen and food pantry (which provides meals and food to the hungry) and clothes closet
The following facilities are operated daily or weekly: health clinic and outreach to the homeless. The bratton street development project rents rooms monthly to mentally challenged individuals and/or other individiuals served by Stewpot that need minimal supervised housing arrangements.
The following activities are operated daily: brumfield shelter (shelter for homeless men), matt's house (an emergency shelter for women and women with children), opportunity center (a day shelter for people who are homeless to wash clothes, take a shower, receive mail, get connected to housing and employment, etc. ), and a transitional shelter (for people experiencing homelessness who are also looking for housing). The following activities are operated weekly: rapid rehousing (a hud program that assists people experiencing homelessness move directly from homelessness into housing). Stewpot received and expended grant funds for the rental assistance for mississippians (ramp) program.
