Program areas at Strategy for Access Foundation NFP
We began a new program Access Chicago, funded by the US Department of Commerce and the National Endowment for the Arts which involves the production of 10 to 15 videos showing that museums and cultural institutions in Chicago are Disability Friendly. In 2022, we began research and pre-production.
We produced 35 short subjects on fitness and exercise for the disabled. These were created because persons with disabilities do not get enough exercise and there is a high level of morbidity and mortality as a result. This program was funded by Lululemon, Elizabeth Morse Genius Trust and Chicago Community Trust and was completed at the beginning of 2023. We were slightly under budget. The videos are now being shown on our website, social media and the Chicago Access Network Television.
Prepared short subject documentaries related to daily problem-solving issues of the disability community.
