Program areas at Suffer Out Loud

Mental health scholarships: award full price (up to $150 per session) of 12 sessions with a licensed mental health provider to members of the community on a first-come, first-served basis. 62 scholarships were awarded in 2023, for a total of 744 therapy sessions. This program removes the financial barrier for those suffering to gain access to the help they need. It also removes the proof-of-hardship barrier which can be overwhelming to deal with and can leave Out those who may not qualify for more traditional assistance but still need help paying for care.
