Description
The Suisun Conservation Fund supports the Suisun Resource Conservation District in preserving and enhancing the Suisun Marsh. It partners with Resource Management Associates to conduct salinity modeling and prepares manuscripts for publication. It also grants funds to the Suisun Resource Conservation District for the maintenance and enhancement of Lower Joice Island, an ecological preserve, as well as for general operations.

Program areas at Suisun Conservation Fund

Grant to Suisun resource Conservation district (scrd) to provide funds for the maintenance and enhancement of lower joice island, an ecological preserve, as well as funds for scrd's operation.in addition, Suisun Conservation Fund (scf) provided fiscal support of scrd's landowner spring and fall workshops.
Through a grant through valero to support the Suisun marsh watershed education program and in partnership with Suisun rcd, solano rcd, solano county water agency, solano county, fairfield Suisun sewer district, and vacaville public education foundation, enrolled 30% of 6th graders in solano county in educational activities in classroom setting (in 51 classrooms) and completed 26 field trips, reaching 1,435 students.
Scf continues the partnership with resource management associates to conduct salinity modeling and the preparation of a manuscript for submission to a peer-reviewed journal describing the Suisun marsh eir/eis modeling study and possible salinity impacts of Suisun marsh levee failures on California water supply.
