This was in response to covid and the need for this plasma to treat covid patients.suncoast also became one of the national surge supply Centers (ssc) for the us to store convalescent plasma (ccp) from other Blood Centers in the us and ship these units to hospitals or Blood Centers in need acrosss the us.suncoast created a new Blood donor program called the concierge "at home" donor program where we drove a mini vehicle to the donor's house so they could donate without leaving their premises. We acquired 3 vehicles and a small team to oversee this new program.
