Green new deal for schools - we debuted a campaign designed to go viral for high school students to bring climate change Education and awareness of green new deal policy priorities to their very own school districts. By engaging hundreds of young people, parents, teachers, principals, faith leaders, and public officials, we built a powerful brand identity for the green new deal for schools that resonated with young students in gen z.green new deal for communities - we identified the ten strongest Sunrise hubs who successfully organized coalitions of young people across race and class in their communities. Through weekly coaching sessions and on-the-ground staff visits, we built a pipeline of young, diverse leaders in the climate Movement who are raising awareness of how climate change will impact their homes and how implementing green new deal policy priorities can uplift their communities.green new deal Movement summit - we brought 200 young people from across the country to dallas, Texas to run our first mass training since the covid-19 pandemic. We brought attention to how climate change was affecting young people, outlined the strategy for the next phase of our Movement, and workshopped powerful visions for what we have to win together under the green new deal.
