Sunshine Mermaids provides transportation and team building equipment for Youth to increase their self-esteem, awareness, and health. Participants engage in games, marine biology exploration, and arts and crafts. The camp also offers guest speakers and pool usage. Staff, volunteers, and campers are provided with PPE including masks. The program helps empower youth by teaching them self-defense techniques and situational awareness to avoid putting themselves at risk. In addition to this, they can earn CPR certification and hear from Public Safety leaders.
