Swannanoa Valley Transitional Housing Committee

To provide women released from Swannanoa correctional center for women tangible and financial support to acquire skills, education and jobs in order to become self sufficient and begin a new life. Throughout the years numerous women have lived in residence for timeframes ranging from three weeks to a year or over. To reduce recidivism of women exiting prison by providing a safe place for them to live while they acquire the skills, education and financial support to reenter the community as a productive citizen.
