Sweet Grass Community Foundation helps preserve all of the things we love about Sweet Grass County, while supporting new efforts that will help our community stay vibrant. The Community Foundation is a leader with area nonprofits, playing a vital role as an educator to help bolster nonprofits and their boards, as a resource to guide, support and fund community efforts, to serve as a platform between donors and community efforts, helping donors make informed decisions and maximize their impact, and to administer funds and an endowment to help preserve and protect the way of life we all enjoy.The foundation accomplishes this through a variety of granting programs and community focused funds, along with training and resources. Granting programs include Community Impact, Collaboration Granting, Matching Funds, Major Community Impact Grants, Micro Grants, and Give Where You Live.Community focused funds managed by the foundation include donor advised funds, scholarship funds, designated funds, project funds, field of interest funds, and agency funds all focused on our community, county, and those who live and work here.A total of $425,120 was granted in 2023.
FISCAL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM - ALLOWS ORGANIZATIONS TO FOCUS ON THEIR MISSIONS AND NOT ON 501(C)3 REQUIREMENTS. WE PROVIDE BOOKKEEPING AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, AS WELL AS FUNDRAISING TIPS AND ASSISTANCE BUILDING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. Supported 4 local organizations during 2023 including Sweet Grass Cancer Alliance, Crazy Mountain Wrestling Club, Sweet Grass Animal Coalition, and Sweet Grass County Early Childhood Coalition.
