Program areas at Symba Center
Symba Center provided medical, mental, health and social services to over 2,000 uninsured, low-income, and homeless members of the inland empire region of southern California. Medical services include recuperative care, wellness examinations, laboratory testing, medication management and prescriptions, nutrition and lifestyle interventions, vaccinations, and covid-19 testing. Our mental health services include pharmacotherapy interventions, assessments and evaluations, individual counseling, family counseling, parenting/co-parenting counseling, relationship counseling and psychoeducation group workshops. Our social services include case management through independent life plan agreement, track progress of goals and conducting needs assessment and developing a care plan. We also provide housing navigation and connection to specialty care including arranging transportation. This comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to homeless services awarded Symba Center a contract with the city of victorville to be the wraparound service provider for the newly constructed wellness Center and a seat at the homeless solutions task force.
