Program areas at Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation
To support diagnostic imaging service line by providing funding for a 3t mri machine, allowing state-of-the-art scanners for faster scans and clearer imaging for more precise diagnoses.
Provided support to the Tahoe Forest hospital district cancer center's patient and family support programs. These programs address social, psychological, emotional, and functional needs before, during, and after the course of treatment. The programs use an integrated, whole-person approach that addresses the social, emotional, and functional aspects of a patient's cancer journey to improve the quality of life for the patient, the family, and the caregiver at no cost to the patients.
Provide funding to increase screening and identification of mental Health needs, access to mental Health care, and community support and awareness. Programming includes depression screening, stress reduction for teens, stress relief for seniors, a suicide prevention coalition, and adverse childhood experiences (aces) to help improve and save lives.
Support to enhance healthcare in the hospital's service areas, including, but not limited to, support of home and Health hospice programs, emergency services, patient emergency assistance fund, women & family care, and community Health education.
