The Reimagine Your Career Program is a series of virtual career and professional development workshops to assist individuals as they attempt to return to the workforce. Reimagine Your Career Program provides workshops consisting of step-by-step instructions of how to conduct a job search, prepare a resume that makes it past ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), and how to master any interview situation, negotitate a fair salary, develop a growth mindset and improve their soft skills. Our philosophy is to "teach individuals to fish rather than giving them a fish" so that they can use the skills gained from participating in the workshops over the life of their career.
Boots2Suits, A Veteran Career Transition Program, consists of workshops on topics of particular interest to veterans (with particular emphasis on women veterans) separating or separated from the military. The workshops explore issues surrounding transitioning from the military to the civilian workforce by giving them the tools and skill assessments to assist with the transition. These workshops are particularly important to female veterans. Boots2Suits helps veterans prepare to secure and retain employment with employers who value their experience and leadership skills.
The TFS Career Closet Program specializes in filling the need (and expense) for business clothing that women and men need to make a positive first impression on a prospective employer. The TFS Career Closets continues to be an essential resource for job seekers, and nonprofits who work with job seekers, to empower economically disadvantaged individuals toward economic self-sufficiency. This simple but important service helps job seekers realize their potential to reach their professional goals. Because of our partnership with MassHire, TFS is able to offer job seekers two Career Closet locations (i.e., Woburn and Cambridge) to obtain free business clothing. TFS utilizes a unique "Client choice Model", of enabling job seekers to individually (or with assistance) select clothing that meets their needs, thereby increasing dignity.
