Program areas at Talmar
Therapeutic horticulture group programs: TALMAR provides engaging group programs designed to help individuals with special needs meet their individual developmental and therapeutic goals. Programs take place on TALMAR's campus which includes a vegetable and cut flower farm, hoop houses, wheelchair accessible greenhouse, hen house, and apiary.
Vegetable and cut flower farm with hen house, apiary, sensory garden and wheelchair accessible greenhouse designed to support therapeutic, recreational, and vocational programs for people with disabilities. Campus is maintained by staff and a supported volunteer program where more than 75% of volunteers have disabilities.
Compensated work therapy program for veterans. TALMAR provides a vocational training program with integrated behavioral healthcare supports for veterans in collaboration with the VA Maryland Healthcare System.
