Program areas at Tamassee DAR School
At Tamassee, we believe in families, and our recovery program and education programs empower mothers and their children to find lasting freedom and wholeness. Tamassee's recovery program offers a faith-infused, family-centered, therapeutic community with holistic, evidence-based, trauma-informed services. Nestled in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains, Tamassee's campus provides a safe and loving home to families during the 18 to 24 month program. Tamassee supports each family's reintegration into the larger community so moms can maintain long-term recovery, secure housing and employment to support their family, and children can thrive in School and life.
Tamassee Dar School's early childhood learning program provides full-day care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers aged 3 months to 4 years. Our classes use the teaching strategies gold curriculum which focuses on play-based early childhood learning through developmentally appropriate practices.
Tamassee Dar School's afterschool program serves k-8th grade students by helping them grow academically through tutoring and homework help, learn resiliency skills through trauma informed care practices, explore self-interests through a wide variety of enrichment activities, and become responsible citizens through our Tamassee navigator program.
Other program services includes the dietary component shared by each program and buildings and grounds which maintains the infrastructure of the campus.
