Psycho social education (military) $30,646 - htp provided support groups and workshops that taught coping skills to handle the stress of resettlement and trauma associated with the hasty evacuation from afghanistan. Additionally, htp hosted in-person support group opportunities so members could gather face-to-face.
Workforce development ($19,144) - htp developed relationships with a national level nonprofit focused on supporting transitioning veterans as well as two professional networking organizations so that afghan sof veterans could participate in and benefit from these existing/proven programs.
Community catalyst dinners ($27,554) - htp connected afghan military refugees with their local communities and resources by hosting dinners across the u.s., especially during ramadan and eid, in order to foster cross-cultural understanding and celebration.
