Tax-Aid strengthens the San Francisco Bay Area community by providing free tax services year-round, achieved through the dedication of skilled volunteers. In 2023, over 4,824 hours were volunteered by 493 individuals who prepared 1,101 federal and state income tax returns for low-income taxpayers in the area up until April 30th.

In 2024, over 4,770 hours of volunteer time was contributed to accomplish Tax-Aid's mission. Through april 30, 2024, 1,499 Tax-Aid volunteers prepared 2023 federal and state income tax returns for 1,641 low-income taxpayers in the san francisco bay area generating tax refunds of 1,302,140. Volunteers will continue to work on returns until the october 15, 2024 extended due date.
