Fund for education abroad's mission is to provide scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented among the u.s. study abroad population.
Fee income covers the expenses associated with locating, recruiting, and placing international educators in u.s. schools. Fees cover costs for immigration processing for international educators, educational seminars and conferences, international outreach, office administration and staff wages.
On july 6, 2017, Teachers Council was designated by the u.s. dept. Of state as a sponsor of an exchange visitor program for Teachers in accordance with the administrative regulations issued under the mutual educational and cultural exchange act of 1961. As such, the company is authorized to issue up to seventy (70) j-1 visas to international Teachers qualifying for temporary residency in the united states. The designation is initially valid for two years at which time the company may request to extend the duration of its j-1 sponsor authority.
