Technological Risk Reduction Initiative

Trri held two major events to support building the effective altruism movement during 2022. 1) in early august, eacf held a four-day retreat for roughly 40 participants. The guests were established professionals working towards successfully communicating to the public the importance of cost-effectiveness in philanthropic giving and specific philanthropic causes that are thought to be highly cost-effective. The goal was to provide an opportunity to gain awareness of each other's projects and discover new avenues of collaboration. 2) from july through august 2022, trri hosted a two-month in-person fellowship intended to provide talented young professionals experience in strategic communications work that aims to promote cost-effective philanthropy. Each fellow undertook a topical project for the duration of the fellowship that paired them with an experienced mentor for guidance.
