Program areas at TAO
Professional development: hosted 92 events and promoted opportunities for Association and industry members to engage with thought leaders in critical areas of interest, 4,800 attendees and 1,600 companies represented. Topics included, but were not limited to, best practices, program/project management, and leadership. To encourage the greatest participation, formats included single presenters, panel presentations, in-person and online meetings, webinars, and promoted further discussion and participation through both our organizational and social network websites.
Business/industry development: hosted and promoted 15 events for industry members, 1,400 attendees and 850 companies represented, to stimulate business growth by engaging peers and thought leaders of the industry together and provide opportunities for them to create strategic partnerships. Participated in key local trade shows and community programs showcasing Oregon software and tech companies.
Leadership exchange: hosted 40 closed-door meetings for senior management and executives, 2,400 attendees and 730 companies represented, to engage with each other, usually moderated by industry thought leaders. Meetings included information regarding best practices, newest trends and new opportunities for business and economic development. After march 2020, we held events online featuring the same topics but also relating to how to cope with the pandemic.
