Program areas at Teen Challenge de Puerto Rico
Legislative grant under Resolution #158 of July 10, 1996, assigned for operational expenses. The Organization has to submit quarterly and annual reports to the State Government to comply with the grant requirements.
Municipal grants for operational expenses in connection with non-classified proffesional services related to Departamento de Reforestacion, Ornato y Embellecimiento. The Organization provides certain services to the Municipalities as follows: cleaning and maintenance of green areas of the roads, painting of bridges, building and roads, pressure-cleaning of bridges, building and roads, and cleaning and maintenance of green areas of public school and other related services.
Administration of corrections - Under a professional service contract of rehabilitation treatment of elegible convicts with drug addictions, the Administration disburses to the Organization a total of twenty five dollars per day per convict. Under the contract, the Organization provides to each convict under its custody full time lodging in one of the Centers, three meals per day or a special diet as directed by medical order under the supervision of a certified nutricionist, opportunities for recreational activities, educational or vocational activities, prefessional therapeutic, psycological and social worker service and drug testing, among others.
